![]() ![]() This is one of those series that I turn to when I just need a good reliable read. If you enjoyed the first one, you will certainly enjoy this one. Review #3 Audiobook Buttercream Bump Off by Jenn McKinlay Breezy, genuine friendships, good mystery, and a perfect book. ![]() Mel, Angie, and their no-so silent investor, Tate, rally to solve the murder. Mel’s mother, Joyce is the unfortunate last date of a Ponzi scheme artist. Mel and Angie, the cupcake store owners are hysterical as they muddle their way through friendship, love and murder. This novel is one of the funniest mysteries I’ve read - as good as Jana DeLeon’s Miss Fortune, and Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books. Review #2 Buttercream Bump Off audiobook Series Cupcake Bakery Mystery I will continue to read them all and catch up to the ~15th or so waiting in my queue! Ah, the life of a reader… thankfully we have variety and creative authors like McKinlay to keep us entertained. A lot like a Janet Evanovich novel, just not as spicy. That said, it’s funny and has great scenes, so overall, it’s a solid read. ![]() I actually guessed the identity well in advance, but at the same time… the details were a bit missing to really believe it 100%. ![]() Overall, the mystery was clever but the killer revealed him/herself rather quickly. ![]()
